I Might Be Lazy

Despite popular belief, there are times when I am quiet and possibly Lazy

Top of the Rock!

This photo was taken last summer while visiting Essex. We were walking around the Manchester/Essex woods and Agassiz Rock. I will be traveling to Essex again very soon and hope to go on another hike. When you climb this high you can look out and see Gloucester harbor.

Happy Memorial Day

This is where I plan to be for most of the summer: My terrace.
I love the sun. It makes me happy.
Take a look behind me. See those plants? I am growing tomatoes!
I hope that by the end of the summer we will have lots of tomatoes to eat. I love tomatoes.

The Dog Artist

Deep down I am very passionate about my art. I prefer the subtractive method when it comes to my work. By starting with a blank surface and carefully removing bit by bit, I explore the abstract. My favorite medium is cardboard.

I invite you to view my video demonstrating how I arrive at my abstract creations.

Digloo Deux 2010 - Vermont Style

Here is my second Doggie Igloo. This wintery house was built for me in Vermont. I keep getting snow all over my head. I might be too tall for my home!

Happy Holidays

Dogs do play poker!

I never said I played well. Could somebody deal me a better hand next time?

Scenes from Brooklyn

This summer I decided that it was time to give up my extravagant Manhattan life style and try something new. So here I am in Brooklyn. Brooklyn suits me. Here are a few of my new favorite Brooklyn things to do:

I like to sit in the sun in front of my new window

I like to go for a swim at Dog Beach

Ikea is really amazing...so I've heard!

Brooklyn is nice. It gives me time to reflect.

Photo-Booth

I was out for one of my daily walks and I stumbled upon a photo-booth. I am a complete sucker for having my photo taken so I  jumped (and barked) at the chance! Here are the results.

I'd like to thank the Academy...

Just kidding! But wouldn't it be great if there was an award for best dog in a motion picture? Some day I would like to enter the world of show biz, but for now I must be content as a mild mannered k-9 of the upper east side.

I would like to add that I am very happy to see that Heath Ledger won for his performance as The Joker, in The Dark Knight. A very stellar performance indeed! 2 paws up!

A little dogs view on the 2008 Election

I read on online that Barack Obama will be getting a dog for his family after the election. This is great news! I look forward to reading about the country's (and the Obama family's) first dog. My vote, of course, would be for a Jack Russell Terrier! Click here for a list of presidents and there pets: http://www.presidentialpetmuseum.com/whitehousepets-1.htm

The Blair Bitch Project

In October of 2007, one little dog disappeared in the woods near Morristown, NJ while shooting a dogumentary...
A year later his footage was found

Crossing State Lines: New Jersey Here I Come!

I got my passport out this weekend and travelled to New Jersey to see how dog runs in this fine state compare to the ones in the city. My investigation led me to the Lewis Morris Park in Morristown NJ. This is what I discovered:
Firstly, the run I visited was about 6 times larger than any run I have been to in the city. You can really stretch your legs. In addition to the pavement about half of the run is covered in grass and there are plenty of trees too (a nice touch). The clientele who frequent this park are among the nicest k-9's. My favorites were Jack, a Jack Russell who loved to chase me, and Eddie a wire coat fox terrier who was rescued from Hurricane Katrina, and also likes running.

A Grrrand Day Out

Today I made my way over to Central Park to meet other 4 legged friends at the "My Dog Loves Central Park" event. It was a beautiful day marked by the cloudless sky and the scent of autumn in the air. I frolicked among the fallen leaves and chased a few squirrels on my way to the event. I was happy to have met several dogs including one that could have been my stunt double. I always enjoy meeting other JRT's. I did meet one dog by the name of Clifford that I did not take too kindly too, despite the fact he was very friendly to me. I guess there are some dogs that are too big...and red...and not actually a dog! Really, what human dresses like a dog anyway?!?
